Accountant

As an Accountant you are mainly responsible for the areas; reporting and booking. Quality and productivity are topics that are no strangers to you! In addition, you also have supplier contact, you work on problem solving with the internal customer and you help to support and improve the IT & system technical processes. What exactly do you do as an Accountant?

Report:
– Carrying out and coordinating the accounting of a number of companies in the group on an independent basis, more specifically: general and analytical accounting
– Analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts from a tax perspective
– Preparation and analysis of the monthly accounting figures and reporting thereon
– Ensuring timely delivery of financial reporting
– Preparation, analysis and submission of statutory declarations (VAT, Intrastat,…)
– Netting: preparing monthly payment lists
– Prepare internal audit procedures and provide information
– Preparing and providing information in the context of the year-end closing and external audit
– Actively contribute to optimizations in accounting processes and organization
– Preparing annual accounts

Books:
– Booking invoices: forwarders, trade goods and non-trade goods (costs, investments, leasing, etc.).
– Handle payment reminders from suppliers.
– Processing fixed assets, payroll processing and reconciliation, setting up provisions, following up on supplier sheets
– Make payments

Your knowledge and skills
– Thorough knowledge of accounting and taxation combined with a driven and solution-oriented work attitude
– Bachelor’s degree
– Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
– Knowledge of SAP (FICO) or a comparable ERP package is a plus.
– Microsoft Excel knowledge is required
– Proficiency in Dutch (fluent) & English (very good)
