Hollow disc pumps are rotary positive displacement pumps suitable for pumping liquids ranging from watery to highly viscous, with or without solids. Their capacity is directly proportional to their speed. This pumping principle ensures low shear, barely affecting the structure of the pumped liquid. Hollow disc pumps are highly dry self-priming and can create a vacuum down to over -0.9 bar. These pumps can be used in both directions of rotation, making suction and discharge reversible. Depending on the liquid being pumped, there are numerous shaft sealing options. These hollow disc pumps can also be supplied in a magnetically driven version, making them completely hermetically sealed and minimizing the risk of leakage.
