Rupture discs for hygienic applications

A rupture disc is a pressure safety device that protects a system against overpressure and/or underpressure (vacuum), preventing explosion or implosion. It is an engineered weak spot that ensures the rest of the system remains intact.

The rupture disc is deployed in a closed system to create a pressure relief opening at a certain pressure, preventing the pressure or vacuum from becoming too high. Pressure safety is essential because the consequences of an accident can be fatal.

Sizes: SANITRX HPX: 1” to 3”; SANITRX HPX II: 1½” to 4”

Burst pressure: 0.689 barg to 138 barg (10 psig to 2000 psig)

Functions
The CDC rupture disc can have two functions:
Primary safety function in a system (the rupture disc provides protection against over/underpressure)
Secondary function (the rupture disc is used as a complement to a safety valve)

The CDC rupture discs can be used in a Tri-Clamp®, NovAseptic® connection (or alternatives); making them easy to deploy in existing systems.
