Creon
About us
Creon has its own engineering office, which enables it to analyze any problem and to design and manufacture the most suitable custom solution in any situation. After all, from project phase to delivery, Creon advises you which solution is necessary, in which place and how any expansion, movement or vibration can be absorbed.
The experienced team of engineers, supported by its own construction workshop and a warehouse with a considerable stock of flexibles and expansion joints, enables Creon to provide a solution even in the most urgent cases.

Metal hoses
Metal Hoses are used as flexible connections in piping systems. The metal flexibles can be divided into 2 types, namely corrugated and wound hoses. Corrugated metal hoses can handle several demanding applications. They are used in applications with: - very high temperatures - very low temperatures (cryogenic applications) - chemically corrosive substances - high pressures - full vacuum - vibrations In addition to 'basic applications', corrugated metal hoses can also be used in applications where a rubber or plastic hose is not sufficient.

Metal expansion joints
Compensators are flexible pipe components that can absorb or reduce the thermal expansions, vibrations, stresses and subsidence of a pipe system. Compensators take up noticeably less space than other collection systems, such as winches, require little maintenance and cause little additional heat and flow losses. The operationality of the management is increasing. Metal compensators can be used from low to high pressures and function from cryogenic to high temperatures. The bellows elements are mainly made of stainless steel and can be fitted with flanges, welded ends or almost any other coupling, both standardized and custom-made, in steel, stainless steel or other materials. Furthermore, they can be provided with inner conduction, tie rods, sheathing, insulation, etc. to optimize operation and lifespan, to increase safety, to limit losses, etc.

Fabric expansion joints
These expansion joints are constructed from 1 or more layers of different basic fabrics. Depending on density requirements and at relatively low temperatures, coated fabrics can be used in a single layer. At higher temperatures, several layers of uncoated fabrics are used to reduce the temperature towards the outside. Ceramic or glass fiber insulation for large temperature reduction on the medium side. Silicate or glass fabric to protect the insulation material. To achieve flue gas tightness, PTFE, ALU or stainless steel foil is used. This is usually located just before the outer tissue layer. In a multi-layer design, a covered fabric is usually used as the outer layer to protect against weather influences or damage on the outside. As the first layer in contact with the medium, a stainless steel wire mesh can be used as shape stabilization and dust protection.

Rubber expansion joints
Rubber compensators are used throughout industry, power stations, installation techniques and the shipping industry for the transport of cooling water, hot water, gases, oils, greases, foodstuffs, chemicals and other media. Rubber expansion joints absorb thermal expansion, reduce mechanical and sound vibrations, are resistant to shock and fatigue, and remove stress from the pipes. The bellows are made from a wide range of rubber types, and can be fitted with flanges in steel, with standard or special coatings, stainless steel or aluminium. In addition to a range of standard types, there is the option to custom-make compensators according to the user's dimensions. These can be made up to DN 4000 and with a working pressure of 20 barg (test pressure 30 barg).

PTFE expansion joints
Due to their strong chemical resistance, PTFE expansion joints are very suitable for absorbing thermal expansions in applications with corrosive media. The bellows of the PTFE expansion joints consist of several waves. The standard versions consist of 2, 3 or 5 waves, but other designs are also possible. Externally, the bellows are reinforced by stainless steel reinforcement rings and on both sides the bellows are fitted with loose-fitting flanges in steel or stainless steel. The flanges have tapped holes drilled according to EN or ASME. The compensators are also equipped with tie rods in steel or stainless steel. In addition to the standard compensators, there are also compensators with bellows in Extra Heavy Duty and anti-static versions with black PTFE instead of the standard white PTFE. Versions with coating of the flanges, anti-snaking flange, hinges, vacuum support ring and other designs are also possible by appointment
