Membrane Filter Cartridges

There are two main distinguishing features of membrane filter cartridges:
A) Hydrophilic membranes can be easily wetted with water and are preferred for the filtration of aqueous solutions.
1. PVDF is resistant to a large number of organic solvents, making it an all-round membrane.
2. PES (polyethersulphone) with very high porosity and an asymmetrical pore structure ensures excellent throughput rates.
B) Hydrophobic membranes are used for filtration in the solvent and fine chemical industries.
3. PTFE is a chemical- and temperature-resistant fluoropolymer. PTFE is frequently used due to its strength and broad chemical resistance. Hydrophobic PTFE membranes can be used for the filtration of organic solvents and gases.
4. UPE is a polyethylene membrane used in the manufacture of semiconductors for the filtration of high-purity chemicals. Separation rates up to 5 nanometres!
